Review for Taylor Allderdice

I'm kinda disappointed. Of course as we all know Wiz Khalifa is a weed rapper, but there is a point where not only the weed raps get old to the rappers, but to the artist as well. Kush and OJ is a classic, so already with standards high for the mixtape products that he provides there were only two options...exceed those expectations or fail to impress his fans like his second album had done. Wiz Has actually declared that he will not be going back to his "old ways" in "Brainstorm", but has shown that his old style from the "Prince of the City" days is still existent in tracks such as "My Favorite Song", "Mary 3x", and "California". All throughout the attempts for Wiz Khalifa to sing were poor at best, and the features for his mixtape seemed slightly out of place, for example Juicy J on "My Favorite Song" and "Blindfolds". It's not like Juicy J has absolutely no talent, but when rapping on a laid back beat that listeners are encouraged to roll up to, Juicy comes in with an upbeat club music vibe. The only standouts of course were the artist that are not apart of Taylor Gang (Rick Ross and Smoke DZA). Amber Rose makes an appearance in "Never Been Part II", her vocal appearance was decent, she didn't sing, yet she did not rap either seemed more like she just spoke and then was gone. On the other hand, the beats were amazing. Cardo and Sledgren seemed to really outdo themselves on this tape, they fit Wiz perfectly throughout and are consistent.
